image In Changnyeong, Gyeongnam, in the South of Korea, Nexen Tire has been building a new plant for the last 2 years. It was to meet the growing demands from global markets and to emphasize the benefits of ‘Made in Korea’ products. In line with clean image of Changnyeong, the plant is equipped with the world class eco-friendly facility.

Changnyeong Plant already started the lines in March and in October buyers from overseas were invited to the ‘2012 The Grand Opening Ceremony of Changnyeong Plant Global VIP Trip’. 29 global partners from 15 different nations including STS, the biggest customer in Britain, Chrysler, Fiat and Mitsubishi visited the plant for the event.
The event for the overseas partners was filled with various programs from the 9th till the 13th of October. Before the opening ceremony on the 12th, the visitors were invited to see Hyundai Motor’s Ulsan Plant where Nexen is supplying OE products. The visitors also experienced Temple Life and visited Gyeongju for touring programs. They saw and learned about Nexen Tire, Korean automobile company, Korean culture and were very satisfied with the experiences.

On October 12th, the visitors arrived in Changnyeon plant and went on production lines tour for the opening ceremony. When they saw the eco-friendly, cutting edge, highly automated plant, they could not help but be overwhelmed.		 images

images images The participants were all pleased with the line tour and the various programs Nexen provided and they wished for another visit in the near future. Nexen Tire is planning to set up an improved annual event for plant line tours and marketing programs.   Participations of our global partners are always welcome!
