Global Goodwill Movement, 'Pink Ribbon Campaign' Sponsor for 2 Consecutive Years
images Nexen's love for women is getting more intense every year. Following the previous year, Nexen Tire is again actively participating in the '2012 Pink Ribbon Campaign', a movement to prevent breast cancer. 'The Pink Ribbon Campaign' is a global movement that educates the importance of early medical examination and raises the awareness of breast cancer. It has been held in October every year since 1992 globally. It is the 12th year in Korea since the campaign started in 2001.
Nexen Tire opened a campaign booth in Cheonggye Square in Seoul during 10th and 11th of October and gave away pink card wallets, pink ribbon badges and breast cancer self-examination sheet to all women and men around Cheonggye Square. With the offline promotion, online event was carried out simultaneously. Nexen provided Smoothies, gift vouchers and medical check-ups to female customers who applied for online event.

By sponsoring the Pink Ribbon Campaign, Nexen hopes to increase brand recognition with other global sponsors. As the number of female drivers is growing fast every year, Nexen's Pink Ribbon Campaign will help the 'NEXEN' brand become friendlier to them.
