Already a Red Dot 2012 winner, the Nexen N9000 has now achieved a feat unprecedented in Korea tire industry history, winning a Special Mention at the German Design Award 2013. Then in the Japanese Good Design Award (G-Mark), the N9000 competed with over 3,400 products and won the main award, achieving another first for a Korean tire maker, attaining "triple crown" in the international design competitions.

The judges of the two design awards were particularly impressed with the exceptional design of the Nexen N9000, based on a Z motif (lightening), and its excellent performance. The tire will be exhibited at the Ambiente fair which will be held in Frankfurt, Germany, in February next year.

In addition, the Nexen N'FERA SU4, a tire model designed exclusively for premium sedans, won an excellence award at the Korean 'Good Design Award (GD)' hosted by the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy and supervised by the Korea Institute of Design Promotion.

At the PIN-UP Design Award, the N'FERA RU5 and the N'Priz SH9J won the main award and the N'FERA SU4 won the Silver award in the transportation category.

Winning international design competitions with each passing year is a visible sign of the success Nexen Tire is enjoying in promoting its design competitiveness across the world. Established in 1955, the Red Dot Design Award is held annually by German Design Zentrum Nordrhein Westfalen. The award chooses winners in three broad categories: product design, communication design and concept design.
German Design Award is an arena for international design award-winning products, and is dubbed "award of awards".
Japanese Good Design Award (G-Mark) is the Japan's largest international design completion, established in 1957, which is supervised by Japan Institute of Design Promotion. It is a design award system that grants 'G-Mark' to winners selected through comprehensive evaluation made from life, industry and socio-global environmental perspectives.
Korea Good Design Award is Korea's longest, most renowned 'product design award' that grants a 'Good Design' mark to products that display design excellence.
