One day in February, an e-mail was delivered from an man living in Korea to the Moscow branch office of NEXEN TIRE. He said in the email that he was planning to cross Siberia and Moscow to Paris by car. He talked about how he would travel across Korea, then Russia to France using his 16-year old Peugeot, travelling on snowy and icy roads through the infamous heavy snow of the Russian winter.

Days later, he visited the Seoul office of NEXEN TIRE seeking a good tire that would deliver excellent braking force and drainage in order to run on the icy, snow-covered roads of Russia. He said that if he succeeded in traversing Eurasia with NEXEN TIRE's Snow Tire that would mean that NEXEN TIRE has the technological prowess to overcome topological challenges. The head of the marketing team at Seoul branch office, NEXEN TIRE, instantly gave him the OK.

Ten days later, he installed NEXEN TIRE's winter tire, WINGUARD ice, and headed to Vladivostok by ferry across the East Sea. He took Eastern Dream and sent his car to pass through customs, heading to Russia to drive his own car across Russia.

On the very first day of driving his car in Vladivostok, he had a hunch that his trip would be tough when he saw the car in front of him had a flat. His passion for traveling across Russia, however, was strong enough to continue his journey across the ice-covered continent at temperatures exceeding minus 30 degrees. After 20 days in his car, he had crossed through to Moscow and was safely heading to Europe.

After arriving at Prague, the capital of the Czech Republic, he went to a Peugeot shop to fix a small problem he found in his car. As it had not been long since the Peugeot was introduced into the country, the mechanics at the shop were amazed at his car. He was told by them to replace the wheels and tires of the car that had covered 15,000 km.

• It must be fun to drive around Prague watching old buildings embracing the history of Prague. He mentioned that it might be little uncomfortable to drive as the roads are often paved with cobbles.
• Next, he arrived at the Frankfurt station, Germany, after continuing on his drive. He said he felt a lump in this throat as he saw NEXEN TIRE building. How proud he must be to see the signs of Korean companies there.

He drove 16,000km along icy road and unpaved road in Siberia with the NEXEN TIRE's WINGUARD ice fitted. When he entered the NEXEN TIRE office in Germany, he was deeply touched beyond words.

He had his snow tires that had been with him for a month replaced at NEXEN TIRE's technical support center and was given new wheels and tires. He said he was deeply impressed by the NEXEN TIRE members who had the kindness to provide everything from the replacement to testing. He must be so glad to see a touch of Korean hospitality even away from home.

His one-month trip from Korea to Paris was full of excitement. Here, at journey's end, is the very moment in which his challenge to drive across Russia by car with strong 4 NEXEN tires shined the brightest.
