NEXEN TIRE has launched a number of new products so far this year in order to meet various needs across the world. Continuing on from the last issue of webzine, we will take a look at some of its new products in this issue. These products will be unveiled at launch events to be held in key regions starting from June.

N'Priz SH9J provides improved noise-control and wet performance based on pattern designed exclusively for Japanese compact cars.
In response to the increasing demand for patterns solely targeting compact cars in Japan, NEXEN TIRE has developed a pattern design with a kitty motif that strikes a particular chord with Japanese consumers. One of main features of this product is its low-noise. A lot of effort has gone into securing low-level noise through the optimization of 5-pitch and rounding main groove edge to reduce the noise caused by block edge. With a groove edge designed in the cat-eye motif, the product provides enhanced grip and stability on wet roads.

Newly developed as one of the flagship HP products, the N'Priz SH9i is intended for the prevention of road hazards on harsh road conditions.
With mild asymmetric design, the location of tire can be changed non-directional, from right to left, front to rear or vice-versa.
N'Priz SH9i features not only higher structural stiffness but also higher block stiffness thanks to the greater connectivity of the pattern. The 3D-sipe located at the center, in particular, is designed to minimize cracks caused by rocks or other substances. All these contribute to the product having greater durability and tread-wear compared to previous products.

ROADIAN HTX RH5 is a new HT-line product with significantly improved performance and design using multi-sipe and 3D section design.
Compared to the previous ROADIAN HT model, this product has a much more aggressive design, focusing squarely on meeting the driving performance required in the market. The noise performance is particularly better now with Optimized Multi Sequence from the previous models. In addition, the use of zig-zag sipe, which used to be minimized for the block stiffness, has been revived for greater all-season performance. The optimized Large Block and Stability Rib contribute to preventing abnormal wear while improving handling. Dry performance and tread wear, in which the product was inferior to competing products as a whole, have been significantly enhanced. ROADIAN HTX RH5 also provides better noise comfort and driving performance than its competitors based on its outstanding design.

ROADIAN AT PRO RA8 RA8 features trendier design and, compared to the previous AT2, marks a breakthrough in mileage, off-road and wet performance.

The main feature of this pattern design is curve grooves which feature a trendy pattern, yet maximize wet performance. Plus, the stability during baking and acceleration is better with enhanced Stabilink Bars. According to market research survey, customers demanded better noise performance even for tires in the AT category. Thus, RA8 focused on Harmonic Noise Reduction, which is now superior to competing products and the previous AT2 model. The new ROADIAN AT PRO RA8 features upgraded tread wear and improved wet and noise performance. It also provides much higher fuel efficiency than its predecessor ROADIAN AT2 and delivers far better stability and noise performance in response to the needs of customers.

WINGUARD winspike SUV is a studdable winter tire for SUVs, developed specifically for regions beset by heavy snow in winter, like North Europe, CIS and Canada.

Considering the nature of regions with much snow in winter, this product provides improved driving safety and wet performance. As an upgrade version of the previous model, WINGUARD winspike for passenger car, it features a pattern design modified to suit SUVs.
