Nexen Tire entered into an official partnership with Manchester City FC in 2015, marking the beginning of its global sports marketing initiatives. Over the following decade, the collaboration contributed to strengthening Nexen Tire’s brand awareness and premium positioning in global markets through a wide range of football-related activations.

In 2017, Nexen Tire became the first-ever sleeve partner in both Premier League and Manchester City history, introducing a new model of sports marketing. This initiative enhanced global brand visibility through matchday kit exposure and helped establish a stronger international brand presence.

The partnership subsequently expanded beyond shirt sponsorship to include branding of the Nexen Bridge, which connects the Etihad Stadium and City Football Academy, as well as digital content, global campaigns, and fan engagement programs, continuously broadening brand touchpoints across key markets in Europe and Asia.

Nexen Tire and Manchester City FC also collaborated on youth football development programs and global football-related initiatives, contributing to shared efforts in promoting social value through sport.

In addition, joint campaigns aligned with Manchester City’s global tours and major events, along with SNS-based fan engagement activities, further strengthened communication with global fans and enhanced brand affinity.
