Nexen’s 16 and 17 inch tires were fitted to all of Kia's new cars put on test drives in the Middle East and North America. Kia Motors, now widely cited as a global auto maker, organized test drives of its new cars that were recently unveiled for journalists. After a formal briefing of the new cars, the journalists had the opportunity to take one or more of them on a test drive for themselves.
For the Middle East, a test drive of the Cerato took place in the United Arab Emirates from January 21 to 24, 2013.
Organized by Kia's Africa and Middle East Headquarters, the event was attended by 134 reporters from Africa, Middle East, Asia, Eastern Europe and CIS and involved 40 test cars equipped with Nexen Tire’s 17 inch N’blue HD.
The N’Blue HD is an eco-friendly tire that took the third place in a performance test conducted by Auto Express, one of the most renowned auto magazine published in the UK, among 8 global brands.
The test drive organized for North America involved the Forte. Hosted by the maker’s North America sales entity, the event took place in Scott Dale, Arizona, from January 28 to February 1, with representatives from 125 online and offline media attending. Again, all the cars on the test drive were paired up with Nexen Tire’s 16 and 17 inch tires – the CP 671. The tire is an original equipment (OE) tire supplied to Hyundai and Kia.
After the event, many media sources posted positive comments that included its good ride and handling and over-the-average noise reduction. Such a good response was made possible largely by Nexen members’ high sense of integrity in quality assurance. Nexen Tire's commitment to quality will never wane, be it locally or internationally.
