The ceremony in China was held in Yunnam Province from January 24th through 26th as a way to showcase Nexen’s new products and as official recognition of its top performing dealers. The venue was full of excitement about the new products and there was a positive buzz at the event. Over 50 dealers attended, including executives from Nexen Tire and representatives from customers operating in key regional markets. The event kicked off with a video introducing Nexen Tire and its factories in Changnyeong, Korea and in Qingdao, China.
The video was followed by the unveiling of five new tires designed to meet the increasingly sophisticated needs of Chinese consumers seeking premium products.
Detailed information on the new tires was shared during the event to help dealers better understand the products and gain an insight into their marketing. The dealers were impressed and took the opportunity to get a feel for the tires and take photos of them.
After the product launching ceremony, selected Chinese dealers were recognized for their exceptional sales growth and performance. Finally, attendees had the opportunity to share market information and industry updates before the entire event closed with a pledge by all those attending of their commitment to their 2013 goals.
“The introduction of the five new tires customized to the Chinese market will add to the confidence of local dealers about their sales,” one local dealer was quoted as saying.
The new product launch in Korea took place at the Novotel Ambassador Gangnam, Seoul, on February 19. Local dealers were invited to the event, where they had the opportunity to listen to Nexen Tire’s sales policy and operational strategy for 2013.
Other events on the day included the recognition of top performing dealers, a special performance to mark the launch and awards and dinner. As the closing was drawing near, expectations were already high about what new products would be unveiled next year.
