Did you know that Nexen Tire is running an advertising campaign at the home stadiums of four English Premier League teams?
Nexen is reinforcing its marketing in the European market through a comprehensive advertising campaign that includes LED advertising at the home stadiums of Everton FC, Tottenham Hotspur FC, Southampton FC, and West Ham United FC during the 2014/2015 season.
The English Premier League is one of the world's most closely watched football leagues. Nexen’s Europe-wide marketing push is seeing it run an advertising campaign featuring not only the Premier League, but all 3 of the remaining Big 4: with the main football leagues of Germany, Spain and Italy.
Nexen decided to run LED advertising in the home stadiums of 5 additional football teams: Mainz (Bundesliga), Atletico Madrid and Valencia (Primera Liga), and Naples and Lazio (Serie A).
Mainz in Bundesliga has grown a loyal following among Korean fans for its scouting of Koo Ja-cheol, who was signed in January for the highest transfer price in the history of the club. This signing followed the team's purchase of another Korean player, Park Joo-ho. Nexen thus expects the Mainz stadium to be particularly powerful as a space for marketing spend.
Nexen Tire has reinforced its sports marketing in Europe by sponsoring Eintracht Frankfurt, a German football club, and participating in racing with its local drift team. "As there is growing demand for Nexen tires in Europe and we are supplying more OE tires to carmakers every year, we have worked to expand our brand exposure through an advertising campaign executed at 10 football clubs in the major European leagues as part of our aggressive marketing activities," said Lee Jang-hwan, Global Marketing Manager of Nexen Tire. "Through a wide-range of proactive marketing activities, we will continue to improve our brand awareness."
