NEXEN TIRE, which reported its highest performance ever last year, now has a new CEO. It is no other than Travis Kang, the only son of NEXEN TIRE Chairman Byung-Joong Kang. He was recently appointed CEO of the company at the general shareholders' meeting held in February. The company's decision to instill new leadership is raising new expectations for the company.

Expectations are high that CEO Kang's strong leadership will help us take a fast and dramatic approach in business policies based on long-term plans in order to realize quick and bold returns for the company.

After graduating with a degree in Business Administration from Yonsei University and receiving a Master's degree from the Graduate School of Business at Seoul National University, President Kang joined NEXEN TIRE in March 2001. Since then, he has held various positions including Managing Director of the Business Planning Office, President of the Sales Division and President of Strategic Planning. Throughout his 15 years at NEXEN TIRE, he has been working in international and OE tire markets, contributing to the overall business expansion of NEXEN TIRE. He also has been spearheading the company's various sports marketing initiatives such as the sponsorship of Manchester City Football Club in 2015 to strengthen NEXEN TIRE's brand power across the globe.
