NEXEN TIRE, a leading global tire manufacturer announced that its European sales and R&D centers in Germany have moved into the new company building on September 5. The two business units, which had been separately located in the past, are now able to work more closely and efficiently together in the new innovative building, creating synergies in various business areas.
In addition to the new fully-automated European manufacturing plant in Czech Republic, which has recently begun the test-operation, the new building will mark the beginning of the company’s stronger push for sales and R&D initiatives in Europe.
The new, eco-friendly building built on spacious 11,000 square meters was inspired by the patterns of the company’s tire profiles, while NEXEN TIRE’s purple added colorful accents. The employees of NEXEN TIRE Europe will enjoy modern workspaces of open rooms designed under the theme of ‘agile and spontaneous interaction.’ The new building will be the center of productive, creative and mutual work, providing space for purposeful communication and cooperation.
“We are very excited to introduce the new Sales and R&D headquarters in Germany, where management, sales, marketing, research and development work in hand in hand to ensure better quality of products and services to European customers and partners,” said Travis Kang, CEO of NEXEN TIRE. “The expanded sales and R&D facility, together with the new Europe Plant in the Czech Republic, will help accelerate NEXEN TIRE Europe’s business in the market.”
With the investment in the new workspace in Germany in addition to the new European Plant, NEXEN TIRE Europe plans to strengthen its business and especially expand the original equipment (OE) tire supplies to major European automakers. The company already supplies OE tires for leading global car manufacturers in Europe such as Porsche, Fiat, Renault, Volkswagen and its Škoda Auto and SEAT units.
