Since its foundation in 1942, Nexen Tires has been Korea’s original tire-manufacturing company with its 70-year-old technique, producing the nation’s first automobile tires in 1956 and developing V-shaped 60-series rotation tires.

During its steady, leading growth in the domestic tire industry, the company changed its name from ‘Woosung Tires’ to ‘Nexen Tires’ in 2000 as part of its image innovation and has made distinctive improvements since then.

The domestic market share of 8% has exceeded 20%, and the company is about to become a world-renowned global brand with more than 250 dealers in about 120 countries over the world. Furthermore, establishment of a manufacturing corporation on 130 acres of land in China has prompted the company to invade the world market. As a result, a surprising growth with sales of 612 billion Wons and exports of 460 million dollars was achieved this year.
