NEXEN TIRE Recognized at ‘Good Design Awards 2017’

NEXEN TIRE’s ‘N'FERA AU7’ tire received an award in the transportation category at ‘Good Design Awards 2017.’
‘Good Design Awards’ is a prestigious award presented by the Chicago Athenaeum Museum of Architecture and the European Center, and features participation from numerous global corporations from many business sectors. Products and artwork in 25 categories ranging from electronics, transportation, furniture, computers and architecture are comprehensively evaluated on aesthetics, innovation and concept before being selected as a winner.
‘N'FERA AU7’ is an ultra-high performance (UHP) tire developed for high-end sedans. The product boasts outstanding anti-wear capabilities and wet surface braking performance, and features significantly reduced tire noise through an innovative noise reduction system. The design of the tire also received favorable reviews for incorporating the symbolic characteristics of the number seven (7), which represents the brand identity of the ‘N'FERA AU7’.
While numerous global carmakers received awards in the transportation category, NEXEN TIRE was the only Korean tire company to receive an award in this category.

NEXEN TIRE’s ‘WINGUARD Sport 2’ tire received an award at the prestigious German design award, ‘iF Design Award 2018.’
Hosted by the iF International Forum Design, the iF Design Award is one of the most prestigious and largest design competition in the world. The iF Design Award boasts in its international authority and tradition of 60 years. It is regarded as one of the top three design awards along with the Red Dot Design Award and IDEA Design Award.
Launched in 2017, ‘WINGUARD Sport 2’ is a winter tire that has realized the optimal driving experience in the snow with a winter reindeer as its motif. It has increased its side force generation on snow and wet surfaces with shoulder block groove, in addition to its new pitch arrangement, which reinforced its performance on snow and ice. The product has been evaluated as a premium winter tire for its excellent grip and stable performance in the snow with its unique 3D winter kerf and zigzag groove design.
