NEXEN Tyre has announced that it will supply original equipment (OE) tyres for the 2026 Jeep® Cherokee, which features Stellantis’ first hybrid powertrain system with an estimated fuel efficiency of 37 MPG and a driving range of over 500 miles on a single tank.

NEXEN Tyre will supply its ROADIAN GTX for the model. Designed for SUVs and crossover utility vehicles (CUVs), the tyre is engineered to deliver balanced performance across braking, ride comfort, noise reduction and fuel efficiency.

The ROADIAN GTX uses a compound designed to maintain stable performance across a wide temperature range, supporting consistent braking in both warm and cold conditions. Its tread pattern is optimised to improve braking performance on both dry and snow-covered roads.

The tyre also incorporates a zigzag tread design that helps distribute road pressure evenly, reducing localised load concentration and supporting stable driving performance. Improved rolling efficiency contributes to longer service life.

These characteristics make the ROADIAN GTX suitable for hybrid SUV applications where noise comfort and driving stability are key requirements. The tyre has also been selected as OE for a range of SUV models from global automakers.

By supplying tyres for the Jeep Cherokee hybrid, NEXEN Tyre continues its expansion in the global OE market and its focus on electrified and hybrid vehicle platforms.
